The $1.26-billion expansion project at the Tom Bradley International Terminal is expected to be completed mid-2013 and will add two concourses and nine new gates for the next generation of large commercial planes. It also will add 1 million square feet for ticket counters, security checkpoints, passenger lounges and expanded customs and immigration facilities.
The initial contract was priced at $1.5 billion dollars for the reinvention of the Salt Lake City's retail, office and residential space. However, due to structural additions and changes it has now expanded into a project well-over $5 billion dollars and will likely become the largest central city redevelopment in the nation. This project is scheduled to be completed in 2012.
In 2006, Steel Systems Engineering was selected as a primary steel detailer for Project CityCenter in Las Vegas (66,000 tons). At a price tag of over $8.5 billion, CityCenter is the largest privately-financed development in the history of the United States. CityCenter's 66 acres of development will include multiple high-rise hotels, luxury condominiums, high-end retail districts, and a large number of entertainment and dining venues.
